POLICE are appealing for help tracing a man from Durham who has been missing for more than a month - his car was last seen in Tandridge at the end of November.
Clive Nobbs, 66, has been missing from his home in West Cornforth since Sunday, November 23.
Mr Nobbs is described as white, about 6ft in height, of stocky build and with dark hair that is greying to the sides.
Officers believe he may have headed for France, but his car was last seen in Tandridge on November 24.
Inspector Andy Reeves said: "We are concerned for Mr Nobb's welfare because his family have not heard from him for over a month now and this is extremely out of character.
"The last confirmed sighting of Mr Nobbs was on 23November by his family at his house in West Cornforth.
"We know that his car, a red Renault Clio with the registration plate SM57 RDU, travelled south on November 24and was last sighted in the Tandridge area of Surrey.
"It is possible that Mr Nobbs may have since travelled onwards to northern France which is an area he is familiar with, however we do not have a confirmed sighting of him since late November when his family last saw him in the North East.
"We are appealing for help from the public to trace Mr Nobbs and would ask that anyone who has seen either him or his car to get in touch with us as a matter of urgency.
Call 101 with information and ask for Durham Constabulary.
