Three accidents in the last hour are bringing early-morning disruption to both the M23 and M25.
A four-car smash occured southbound on the M23, in the roadworks between the M25 and Gatwick.
Traffic is reported to be "very slow".
Meanwhile an accident on the clockwise stretch of the M25 between junctions 8 at Reigate and Leatherhead, coupled with a four-car crash - also clockwise - between Leatherhead and junction 10 have also been reported.
