TWO goals from Stacy Long dumped South Park out of the Ryman League Cup as Leatherhead won 2-0 at Whitehall Lane tonight (Tuesday).
Long netted both goals in the first half as the Ryman Premier Division side cruised past Park, who rarely troubled Louis Wells in the Leatherhead goal.
Park, who were missing strikers Chris Smith and Kieran Lavery, enjoyed a lot of possession but created little, while Leatherhead punished a couple of errors at the back, with Long playing a neat one-two with Ryan Cooper before clipping the ball home in the 15th minute.
And it was 2-0 when Jevan Palmer was hauled down inside the box in the 35th minute, allowing Long to send Park goalkeeper James Wastell the wrong way from the penalty spot.
Mat Ward had the hosts' best chance midway through the second half, but Wells was on hand to deny him as Leatherhead closed out victory and a clean sheet.
