A "DISASTROUS" fire wrecked a pub kitchen on Monday (7) evening.
About 20 firefighters tackled the blaze at the Barley Mow pub in Tandridge Lane, Tandridge, after a deep fat fryer overheated.
The fire broke out at about 6.30pm.
Crews from Oxted, Godstone, Reigate and Westerham fire stations were drafted in.
Part of the ceiling had to be removed after the flames spread to a first-floor bathroom above the kitchen.
A staff member at the pub told the Mirror on Tuesday morning: "Its an absolute disaster.
"The whole kitchen has gone.
"At the moment we are closed and most of the power is down.
"We may be shut for about three to four weeks, although there is a chance we could open just to serve drinks."
