THE A217, Brighton Road, will be closed for 10 days at Banstead due to emergency work on a sewer failure.
Work on the major arterial route was announced this morning but exact details of how it will affect traffic are currently unclear.
A message on the Surrey County Council-run Surrey Travel Twitter account said: "Brighton Road, Banstead. Road closure. Thames Water, urgent sewer failure works. Expected duration 10 days."
