TRADITIONAL games and cream teas were the order of the day at Woldingham Summer Fete.
The rainy weather on Saturday morning made way for glorious sunshine, just as the fete in the grounds of St Paul's Church began.
More than 200 people enjoyed the community event, organised by Woldingham residents David and Denise Todd.
Mrs Todd said: "It was lovely. The morning started off showery, but thankfully the main marquees were up when the rain started coming down."
The couple first organised the fete five years ago, inspired by a similar event in the village they lived in previously. After a short break, the Todds revived the fete last year and it is now set to become an annual event.
Traditional games included guess sweets in the jar, lollipops in the sand and smash the crockery. There was also an entertainer for the children and a Pimm's tent for the grown ups.
Money raised, expected to reach about £3,500, will be split between the church and St Catherine's Hospice.
