A BUSY route between Reigate and Redhill has reopened, five days after a torrent of water poured down it, flooding homes.
Gatton Park Road had been closed since Sunday between Monson Road and Carlton Road.
Residents were left devastated after a Sutton and East Surrey Water main burst and sent a wall of water crashing through their homes in the early hours of Sunday.
The company said a 20-inch "strategic" pipe under the road had burst. It sent gallons of water into the street and through the homes of at least 14 residents in Northmead.
