DISRUPTION to train services remains in place as many return to work today. In addition to significant planned cancellations - including no trains on the Brighton mainline through East Surrey, the impact of this week's storms is being felt. On Southern, damage to the signalling system at Selhurst and a major landslip near Ockley are taking their toll. It means the special service between London Victoria and Gatwick via Horsham will not run and London Bridge to East Grinstead services are now running from London Victoria instead. Other changes also affect the service and passengers should check before setting out. Southeastern trains are not expecting to run any trains until midday. Fewer London trains will run via Dorking due the landslip at Ockley. The roads are currently relatively clear. Traffic is queueing southbound on the M23 near Gatwick but no incidents are reported on the M25. However Surrey Police say a number of trees have been brought down by high winds overnight and are warning motorists to take extra care.
