A MET Office weather warning remains in place across Surrey this morning. Ater Tuesday's damaging storms, wind and rain have again been lashing the county overnight. A Met Office yellow warning for rain is in place until 9pm tonight for the London and South East region. However, rain is expected to ease through the day. It will be windy, and feel cold in the wind, but maximum temperature will be 12C. Winds will ease tonight but it will turn colder, although sunshine is in store over the weekend. No flood warnings are in place in East Surrey, after the River Mole flooded in parts following Tuesday's torrential downpours. But flood alerts - meaning flooding is possible -remain in place for Ifield Brook, Upper River Mole, Gatwick Stream, Burstow Stream and Salfords Stream. The Mole and its tributaries remain on flood alert from Kinnersley Manor to South Hersham, including Sidlow, Leigh, Betchworth, Brockham, Pixham, Dorking, Mickleham, Leatherhead, Fetcham, Stoke D'Abernon and Cobham.
