A SUNNY fun day raised a sparkling £10,000 for a children's charity.
The Family Fun Day attracted 1,700 people to the headquarters of The Children's Trust in Tadworth on Saturday.
Youngsters cooled off on the swings and families relaxed on the Tadworth Court charity's lawns, taking in a cooling ice cream or Pimm's.
Trust spokeswoman Ruth Allsopp said: "Approximately 1,700 visitors turned out to the annual event, sponsored by Fidelity Worldwide Investment, to help raise overall £10,000 for the charity.
"Dance performances by cheer-leading squad the Claygate Allstars were a great hit, as were the many children's attractions, including the ever-popular mascots who joined in the fun."
