A 47-YEAR-OLD man has pleaded guilty to conspiring to rob a jewellers in Reigate High Street.
Michael Terrance King, 47, from Bordon in Hampshire, admitted the crime at Philip Lloyd Jewllers when he appeared at Guildford Crown Court on Thursday.
Michael William King, 79, also from Bordon, pleaded not guilty and no further action will be taken against him.
The crime took place in a busy High Street at 11.25am on October 16 last year.
There were reports at the time that two men, dressed as postmen, were seen fleeing the scene and, despite being chased by some valiant workmen, they escaped on a silver motorbike.
Michael Terrance King will be sentenced on July 11.
