TOMMY HUTCHINGS has left Leatherhead to join Ryman Division One South rivals Merstham.
The striker, who has scored more than 100 goals in his six years with the Fetcham Grove outfit, has opted to leave Leatherhead to join the Moatsiders, who finished 12th in the league last season.
It is a blow to the Tanners, but Hutchings' signing is sure to be a boost to Merstham following the departure of Fabio Saraiva, who signed a one-year contract with Ryman Premier Division new boys Maidstone United earlier this week.
On the club website, Leatherhead club chairman Peter Ashdown said: "On behalf of Leatherhead Football Club, I would like to thank Tommy for his fantastic contribution to the club during the last six years.
"Tommy has always given 100 per cent in his performances and became the talisman of the team, in scoring over 100 goals.
"He has decided the time is right to have a change and received an attractive offer from Merstham.
"Both myself and Richard Brady spoke with Tommy about staying at Leatherhead, but respect his decision.
"He leaves us on the very best of terms, and he and his very supportive family will always be welcome back at Fetcham Grove in the future.
"We wish all the best to Tommy."
