A "PAY-AS-YOU-GO" business centre aimed at busy commuters has opened in Cobham's M25 service station.
The roadside centre, which includes business lounges, meeting rooms, WIFI and admin support, is among the first in the country opened by Regus Office Solutions.
Businesspeople can drop in to the centre at any time to conduct interviews, write presentations or host conference calls for a one-off fee or as part of a subscription.
Regus managing director Steve Purdy said: "This is an important step forward for mobile workers in the UK for whom a table in a roadside café is no longer enough.
"We have 150 different offices in the UK but we have now opened up three motorway stations for the businessperson on the road."
He added: "The experience for most of these people is that of preparing a presentation in a coffee house or a hotel lobby off the motorway.
"With our new centres, you can do all that in a professional environment, even though you are on the road.
"It is a unique service and the Cobham centre is leading the way for the future."
As well as the Cobham centre, Regus has opened two other motorway locations on the M40, at Beaconsfield, and the A14, at Cambridge.
Customers can pay to use the centre on a one-off, pay-as-you-go basis, or as part of a subscription, which allows access to Regus's assortment of "static" offices.
According to Regus, two-fifths of employees work from locations other than their employer's main office for at least half the week, due to "mobile, tablet and cloud technologies".
One of the first visitors to the Cobham centre was Mike Ridler, general manager of ITW Nexus Europe.
He said: "I live in Cobham, so this will be very handy for me.
"Although I have an office in Basingstoke, I'm often at home and with two children it can be difficult to maintain concentration, so this will be an ideal alternative."
"I'm used to going to places like Starbucks, which are sometimes not so good for making calls.
"These business lounges are much better for a half-day's work when you need some quiet to maintain concentration."
