WESTCOTT teenager Sophie Nynan has now been missing for more than a week. The Ashcombe School student has not been in contact with her family since "storming out" of the family home at around 6pm on March 30 and heading towards Dorking. She was caught on CCTV heading down the stairs from Platform 1 and 2 at Redhill train station before heading towards Platform 3 where she could have boarded a train to East Croydon, Gatwick Airport or Horsham. Detective Inspector Martin Stables of Surrey Police said a message has been posted from the 15-year-old's account on social networking site Facebook in the last few days. Sophie is described as being of mixed race and around 5ft 2ins tall, with straight, dyed brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black leather jacket, black leggings and white Converse high top trainers. She also wears two pearl stud earrings in each ear, is known to frequent Redhill and has links to the Croydon area. Last week, her mother Nina told a radio station: "She had asked to go out during the morning and we had said no; we didn't feel we were happy with where she wanted to go and who she wanted to go with. "I got home at about 5.30pm and she was very unhappy with the choice that we had made and she just stormed out of the house. "She was last seen heading towards Dorking at about 6pm." Anyone with information is asked to call Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference M/13/322.
