MICHAEL PAGE is looking to kick on after winning his first Belator Fighting Championships bout in just ten seconds.
The Mixed Martial Arts instructor, who teaches at GBMAA in Leatherhead and Cobham, knocked out his opponent Ryan Sanders in just ten seconds on his debut stateside, making a real statement in his first outing in the American championships.
But the 25-year-old, who is a 12-time world champion kickboxer, is not content with just the one, albeit brief, appearance that takes his MMA record to four wins from four fights.
He said: "I want to do lots more fighting out in America and other places abroad.
"I will be flying to India in five or six weeks' time to compete in the SFL out there and I am looking forward to that."
It is much different for Page now though, with the former kickboxing star used to having regular fights, while he may now have to wait up to six weeks between each competitive bout.
But Page said he can only continue to prepare well for each fight, adding that he felt well prepared for his debut, although he didn't expect it to be over so soon.
"I did have a feeling he would try to rush me," he said.
"He was completely careless and I was able to win very quickly, but I would have taken that beforehand.
"I would have liked to have been able to show a bit more skill and what I can do, but a win is a win and I can't complain about that."
For now, Page is back in England helping to coach with GBMAA, something he says he really enjoys.
He added: "I don't think I will ever stop coaching or wanting to help."
