POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Lingfield during the early hours of Friday, April 5.
The collision occurred around 3.10am when it is believed a black BMW convertible collided with a telegraph pole while travelling along Newchapel Road.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a man in his early 20s from London, was taken to a hospital in Brighton with head and spinal injuries.
Road closures were put in place in the immediate area while emergency crews including South East Coast Ambulance Service and Surrey Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene. All closures were lifted around 8.15am.
