FOUR points from two tough games represented a great Easter weekend for Dorking as they hauled themselves out of the bottom three.
The resurgent Chicks backed up their 1-0 win at Camberley Town on Saturday with an impressive 0-0 draw with league leaders Egham Town on Monday, making it ten points from the last possible 12 for the Meadowbank outfit.
And Dorking boss Glynn Stephens said he was a very happy man.
"It couldn't have been much better to be fair," he said of the weekend.
"Maybe if we were being greedy we could say that we should have got more than four points, but to take four and keep two clean sheets represents a very good weekend from our point of view."
Reece Jackson netted the only goal of the game to sink mid-table Camberley on Saturday in a game of few chances, while Stephens said he was delighted with the defensive resilience shown in both games.
He said: "Every player did what we asked of them defensively and fortunately we were able to take one of the chances that came our way.
"We were solid and against Camberley, they had very few chances, which was largely down to our professional performance.
"It was slightly different on Monday and we had more defensive work to do.
"But we did that really well and our keeper made a few good saves."
However, Stephens said it was not all one-way traffic, adding that while Egham enjoyed more of the ball, both sides had chances to win the game.
But he said he could not fault the effort of his side, adding that to hold the league leaders was a very good result.
Dorking travel to face Bedfont Sports on Saturday.
