CHIPSTEAD came from a goal behind to beat Carshalton Athletic 2-1 in the Ryman League Division One South today.
Athletic took the lead on 33 minutes thanks to a Sean O'Toole goal but the Chips hit back almost immediately through Andrew Dalhouse before Will Turl scored a late winner.
Jordan Bird scored the winner for Whyteleafe on 83 minutes after John Fowler team had earlier let a two goal lead slip.
Leafe took the lead just six minutes in when Jensen Grant converted following a corner and they made It 2-0 on 46 minutes.
However, opponents Hythe Town hit back with two goals in three second half minutes, Laurence Harvey and Shaun Welford the scorers, before Bird scored a late winner for Leafe.
Merstham hosted the Division One South game of the day, but took no points from the entertaining top of the table clash.
After going behind to league leaders Burgess Hill Town, the Moatsiders took a 2-1 lead into the break thanks to goals from Tutu Henriques and Taurean Roberts. However, within 11 minutes of the restart, Burgess Hill were leading 3-2 before Osa Obamwonyi equalised, only for the visitors to ht back with a fourth goal, the match ending 4-3 to the Sussex team.
Redhill lost 5-0 at Walton & Hersham, while South Park's game against Worthing fell victim to another waterlogged pitch.
