FIREFIGHTERS were called to East Surrey Hospital twice in the space of an hour after an alarm kept going off.
The crew from Reigate were called to the hospital on Canada Avenue at around 8.20 this morning after the fire alarm went off. After apparently resolving the issue, the crew were called back to the hospital at around 8.45am after the alarm was set off again.
A spokesman for Surrey Fire and Rescue said: "The alarm kept going off and we were called straight back. The crew got back to the station and then had to go straight back out again.
"It turns out there was some cooking going on and they couldn't clear the smoke."
