NOT many people would have predicted that West Ham versus Manchester City would be a clash between two of the top four in late October.
But that is exactly what the match at Upton Park is tomorrow (Saturday), with Sam Allardyce's men impressing so far this season.
Can they keep that form going against Manuel Pellegrini's men? Our resident tipster, Bobby Dubz, gives his predictions for the weekend's Premier League action.
West Ham v Manchester City
The Hammers have been very impressive so far this season and have quietly risen up the table to fourth in recent weeks.
Sam Allardyce's men have hushed the critics that were so loud last season, with their new signings Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia proving their worth up front with a number of crucial goals.
But this is a different test against Manchester City - a side that have not been firing on all cylinders yet this season, particularly in Europe.
Their 2-2 draw with CSKA Moscow in midweek was very disappointing and leaves them in danger of not progressing from the group stage of the competition.
But in Sergio Aguero, they have a striker capable of creating something out of nothing, and his four goals against Tottenham last week will be a warning to the Hammers.
However, the Hammers are capable of getting something out of this if they can maintain their good recent run.
Prediction 2-2
Liverpool v Hull City
Liverpool were lucky last week against Queens Park Rangers and picked up three points they did not deserve.
They are a shadow of the side that came so close to winning the title last season, and in Mario Balotelli, they have a striker who is yet to find form back in England.
They are clearly missing the injured Daniel Sturridge and need someone to fill that void.
If that is not Balotelli, maybe Rickie Lambert or Fabio Borini should be given an opportunity to show their worth.
This will not be an easy game for them and Hull came so close to causing an upset at Arsenal last weekend.
On their day, the Tigers are capable of upsetting the big boys and this could be another frustrating afternoon for Liverpool, but with Michael Dawson and Nikica Jelavic missing for Hull, Liverpool could just shade it.
Prediction 2-1
Southampton v Stoke City
No-one saw Southampton's 8-0 win against Sunderland coming last weekend.
The Saints have been in good form at the start of the season and were clinical last week, but Sunderland were woeful.
Stoke will be a different proposition. The Potters have been inconsistent this season, but have looked resolute away from home, with the exception of their defeat at the Stadium of Light.
This one certainly won't be 8-0, and having drawn on both of their previous visits to St Mary's in the top flight, this could be a third.
Prediction 1-1
Sunderland v Arsenal
One thing is for sure, Sunderland cannot be as bad as they were last weekend.
Gus Poyet will demand a reaction from his players after their capitulation at Southampton, and Arsenal at home should give them extra motivation back in front of their own fans.
The Gunners have not been firing so far and they were fortunate to sneak a win at Anderlecht in midweek.
They need the points to get their push for the top four back on track, but with Sunderland likely to be up for this one, the Gunners may just drop two more points.
Prediction 1-1
West Brom v Crystal Palace
West Brom are a much-improved team in recent weeks and were unfortunate not to beat Manchester United on Monday night.
Alan Irvine's men have found some form and will be confident of picking up another three points at home at the Hawthorns against a Palace side smarting from back-to-back defeats.
The Eagles put up a good fight against Chelsea last weekend, but the difference in quality told in the end.
Neil Warnock has done a decent job since returning to the dugout at Selhurst Park, but he will not want to suffer a third straight defeat.
He could still be without Scott Dann for this one and Palace will need to keep Saido Berahino quiet if they are to take something back to south London.
Prediction 2-1
Swansea City v Leicester City
Swansea have been hard done by of late, having started the season so impressively.
They have not won in five games in the Premier League, but will be hoping to change that against a Leicester side that has also hit the buffers in recent weeks.
Since their incredible 5-3 win against Manchester United, the Foxes have stuttered and all of a sudden, look to be struggling for goals.
They need Leonardo Ulloa to find form again, but it could be another difficult afternoon at the Liberty Stadium.
Prediction 2-0
Burnley v Everton (Sunday)
Burnley are now the only team in the Premier League still searching for a first win of the season.
They have been competitive in games, but still seem to be lacking the quality to pick up more than just one point at a time.
The Clarets have to start turning draws into victories if they are to avoid an instant return to the Championship, but it is hard to see them getting that against Everton.
Burnley will be fresher after Everton's Europa League clash at Lille on Thursday, but the Toffees should still have enough in the tank to pick up at least a point, if not all three.
Prediction 1-2
Tottenham v Newcastle United
Tottenham were clinical in the Europa League against Asteras Tripoli and although they were well beaten at Manchester City, they looked much more of a threat going forward.
They will not find it easy against Newcastle though, who will be buoyed by finally getting their first win of the season against Leicester City last time out.
The Magpies won this fixture last year at White Hart Lane, but they will do well to repeat that and Spurs will fancy their chances of recording a second home win in the space of four days.
Prediction 3-1
Manchester United v Chelsea
This is definitely the biggest game of the weekend and one that offers plenty of intrigue.
With Diego Costa and Loic Remy missing for the Blues, they may play Didier Drogba up front and he is still searching for his first Premier League goal in his second spell at Chelsea.
And for Manchester United, this is their first big test against one of last season's top four. They have picked up in recent weeks, but have not yet come up against one of the sides they will hope to be competing with at the top end of the table.
United definitely have goals in them, but it is hard to see them keeping many clean sheets, although much will depend on how Jose Mourinho sets his team up at Old Trafford.
Prediction 1-1
QPR v Aston Villa (Monday)
Queens Park Rangers were incredibly unlucky not to take at least a point against Liverpool, but it is that sort of luck that goes against you when you are struggling.
Rangers produced arguably their best performance of the season and still came away with nothing, and they really need to get a win, and soon.
Villa have struggled too of late, not helped by a horrendous run of fixtures, but they were poor against Everton last weekend.
Paul Lambert will have them fired up for this one, and they will fancy their chances of getting at least a point.
Prediction 2-2
