FIREFIGHTERS needed to rescue a baby in Hurst Green earlier this afternoon after he was locked inside a car.
Crew members from Godstone were called to car in Hurstlands at around 2.45pm to find an 18-month-old baby boy trapped inside.
His mother had left her key inside the car and then shut the doors. When the car locked automatically, her son was trapped.
A crew member from Godstone told the Mirror that firefighters were able to create a small space in the door through which they threaded a hook to retrieve the key.
The baby was unharmed.
