A goal in each half from Joe Jackson saw South Park ease to victory at fourth placed Sittingbourne and move up to seventh place in the league.
David Smith's cross form the right was headed wide by Guscott at the far post. Hesitation in the Park defence almost allowed Nwoko in but Stafford was alert to clear the danger. Ayling's ball found Jackson whose shot was turned behind by Molloy in the Sittingbourne goal. Lavery struck a 25 yard shot that flew past the post. At the other end Wastell had to rush out of his area to clear ahead of Nwoko. A cross from the right fell kindly for the Sittingbourne forward however Ayling blocked the goal bound shot. Ayling's cross field ball picked out Jackson who shot over the bar from the edge of the area. With 37 minutes played Park broke the deadlock when Ayling's shot was only parried by Molloy and Jackson was on hand to score from close range. Stafford's free kick found Lavery who was unable to direct his header on target while Hatfield's cross from the left was hurriedly cleared by the home defence.
Lavery and Jackson combined well to create a chance for Lavery however his shot was saved. Park doubled their lead in the 54th minute when Lavery's initial shot was blocked but Jackson was on hand to turn a stab the ball home from eight yards. On the hour mark Wastell made his first save of the game low to his right. A 25 yard shot from Sittingbourne flew past the post. David's throw found Jackson who played in Watts however his shot was deflected behind for a corner. Lavery broke clear of the home defence but Molloy saved his shot. Sittingbourne wasted a good chance on 70 minutes when from a right wing cross their forward headed over the park bar form 8 yards. Higgins blocked another shot on goal while Lavery had a shot saved and David Smith and Ward shot wide. In the dying minutes Lavery cleared a shot with his head as Park claimed the points.
South Park are without a midweek fixture this week. They then have successive cup games as they travel to Cheshunt on Saturday for their first ever FA Trophy game. This is followed by a home game against Guildford City in the Surrey Senior Cup on Tuesday 21st October.
