SMALL business owners can meet their neighbours at a special event hosted by the Holmethorpe Estate Association.
The event, on October 15, will be held at nTrust House and will give business owners and their staff the chance to network with others working in the area.
Russ McKenzie, the owner of nTrust House along with business partner Eric Whitehead, is hoping the meeting will be the first of many.
He said: "We're really looking forward to meeting a whole new set of businesses in the area.
"That is why we've set up this meeting for people to come and have a good time while finding out about their neighbours.
"Hopefully they will want to get their voices heard and we can work on improving the estate in ways that benefit as many people as possible."
The event is being run in tandem with the Holmethorpe Hub, a new business group which aims to act as a central meeting point for those working on the estate.
Annie Risbridger, is managing director of Risbridger Engineering Solutions and a member of the Holmethorpe Estate Association.
She said: "It's very exciting to be helping to organise this special event.
"There is such a wonderfully diverse selection of businesses in the area, and what we want more than anything is for them to get together and make long-lasting friendships.
"We are incredibly grateful to Russ for allowing us to use his building to host the event, and I am confident it will be a huge success."
Guests at the event can sign up to the association; for £40-a-year members get their own page on the Holmethorpe Estate website and assistance with planning issues and road maintenance in the area.
The event runs from 4pm-7pm and refreshments will be supplied by Max's Kitchen. Visit www.holmethorpe.org for information.
