OCKLEY Acorns U13s secured promotion back up to division A with a resounding 5-0 victory away at East Grinstead Town.
The match started evenly, with East Grinstead threatening, and the Acorns grateful for some brave goalkeeping from Dominic Venn.
The Acorns defence, marshalled by Harrison Ash and Conor Gilmartin, got a grip on the game and Ockley slowly gained control.
Alex Watts and Justin Hurst provided power and drive in midfield and Ockley won a corner from a driving run. In the scramble, leading scorer Charlie Kenway poked home.
Ockley soon added two more when Tom Phillips powered a header in from another corner and Jake Knight smashed a ball into the top corner from long range.
The Acorns dominated the second half and the fourth goal came when Phillips skilfully steered the ball home.
The final goal came after a superb team move when Finn Campbell released Kenway who squared for Knight to score.
