OXTED skipper Mike Trim has heaped the pressure on Sunday's opponents Holcombe, insisting the Conference East title is "theirs to lose".
With three keys players away during pre-season after representing Wales at the Commonwealth Games, and several others leaving the club, Oxted did not start their league campaign as they would have hoped – losing heavily to Teddington and Richmond.
However, Oxted picked up their first point against newly-promoted West Herts on Saturday and are now looking forward to facing Holcombe, who have recorded three wins from three, this weekend.
"I'm really looking forward to playing Holcombe and I think the rest of the team are as well," Trim said.
"It's the sort of game you play hockey for. You want to play against the best.
"We normally give them a good game and I don't see any reason why that should be any different this weekend, we have a full strength squad available.
"Hopefully we will take a bit of confidence from picking up our first point last weekend, but really all the pressure is in Holcombe.
"With the squad they have and the resources they have, they should be winning every game.
"Normally in this league there is another top side, but this season I can't see any other team being able to compete with the resources Holcombe have available to them, so in my opinion this league is theirs to lose."
Overseas pair - Australian Chris Coleman and Harrogate-born South African Oli Whiteley - made their Oxted debuts on Saturday, with the former scoring the equaliser in the 2-2 draw against West Herts.
"We only had 13 players available which wasn't ideal," the skipper explained.
"We went 1-0 up through Andy Cornick but they equalised when we went down to nine due to yellow cards.
"They then went ahead at the start of the second half when we still on had ten on the pitch which is frustrating because I think with 11, we could have beaten them."
