South Park produced a clinical display of finishing to earn a 3-1 win at Ramsgate - a fourth home defeat in a row for the Kent side.
The visitors had only three chances of note in the first half, but netted all three to hold an ultimately unassailable lead at the interval.
The first half was punctuated by an illness to referee Oliver Jackson and the goals – two for Chris Smith and one for David Smith – came either side of that stoppage.
James Wastell had made a couple of decent saves from Charlie Walsh in that first period, but ultimately the Rams were made to pay for failing to close down their men.
Connor Heffernan got one back three minutes from the end but South Park held on for the win.
Ramsgate started like a team buoyed by their two good away performances this week and were straight on the front foot, with Chris Elliott curling a free-kick over the top.
But South Park looked dangerous going forward themselves and a quick breakaway had them ahead on 11 minutes.
Tom Chapman had the ball in the Sparks box and unselfishly looked for Josh Woolley, but the square ball was intercepted – and seconds later it was at the feet of Smith, who took advantage of a lack of pressure to pick a shot which flew into the back of the net.
Ramsgate twice went close on 18 minutes as first Walsh had a well-struck effort well saved by Wastell and from the resulting corner, taken short, Woolley curled just wide.
A fine move from the Rams probably should have brought them level. The ball was only cleared as far as Walsh, who linked up superbly with Macauley Murray and then ran on to the return ball but the onrushing Wastell saved well.
In a game which had already been delayed due to an issue with the net, things then took another turn when referee Jackson felt unwell and had to leave the field, with one of his assistants taking over and South Park club secretary Nick Thatcher running the line.
The Rams were on the front foot again after the near 10-minute delay, but again their failure to close down men cost them as the visitors doubled their lead.
This time David Smith was the man, picking the ball up and running at the defence and a neat one-two with Kieran Lavery put him back with just Nick Shaw to beat and he made no mistake.
Another delay to a first half destined not to finish until almost 4pm came when the Rams were forced to replace Scott Punton with Kane Harrington, and soon, incredibly, the home side trailed by three.
This time Curtis Robinson had burst forward but when his break was halted, the clearance fell perfectly for Chris Smith and he charged through before slotting in his second and South Park's third.
The second half was flat at best in the opening stages, and it took until the hour-mark for a shot of note, but Heffernan's effort was well over the top.
Jack Higgins was lucky to escape a card when he went up with goalkeeper Shaw at a Rams corner, before Chris Smith was denied a hat-trick by Robinson's block.
The same player got in again down the right but his shot dropped wide of the far post, while at the other end sub Warren Schulz forced another good save from Wastell.
Chapman shot straight at Wastell and towards the end a flat second half was on the verge of being deemed bad-tempered as a few words were exchanged following a foul by Ira Jackson on Jack Watts, one of several meaty challenges.
The home side did get one back in some style when Heffernan found the bottom corner from 30 yards and Watts bravely through himself in front of a Walsh blast, but it was all too little too late for the Rams.
