A GROUP from Caterham School went up in the world.
Ten cadets and an officer from the school's combined cadet force completed solo parachute jumps from 3,500 feet in Wiltshire on August 25.
It followed an intensive day's training with the Army Parachute Association.
Their instructor Rob Camps said: "It was a real pleasure to teach the group who are all a cracking bunch."
Lieutenant Mathew Owen, the unit's training officer, said: "Not one cadet showed even a moment of hesitation in the doorway of the aircraft.
"They are all to be commended both for the speed with which they took on board all the new skills required and for their bravery."
