POLICE are searching for a 12-year-old boy from Horley who has been missing since yesterday afternoon.
Ashley Boakes was last seen in the Horley area at around 5.45pm yesterday.
His father Peter Langdale said Ashley had been travelling home from a school in Dorking.
Mr Langdale said Ashley had a history of running away, but had never been missing for so long.
Greg Miles, a Surrey Police spokesman, said "Officers visited Ashley's mother yesterday evening and again in the early hours of this morning to discuss his disappearance.
"A number of resources have been deployed and lines of enquiry are being investigated in a bid to locate him as soon as possible."
