THE DEADLINE for Gatwick's consultation on new flight paths has been extended after it was dogged by technical issues last night.
The consultation's website suffered a "minor technical error" overnight which meant it was unavailable for a couple of hours. As a result, the consultation, will now end at midnight on the night of August 15/16.
A statement from London Gatwick said: "Gatwick's Airspace Consultation website was unavailable in the early hours of this morning due to a technical issue. Therefore Gatwick will be extending the consultation period until midnight (00.00) on the 16th August to ensure anyone still wanting to feedback is able to."
The 12-week consultation, which launched in May, gives residents the chance to have their say on three potential new departure routes from the airport and on possible new respite routes for arriving planes.
