Banstead fourth XI remain 20 points clear at the top of the Central Division with another emphatic win - this time by seven wickets over Beddington Park. Put into bat Beddington Park lost wickets but also scored freely using the short boundary on one side to good effect and were well placed at 84 for 4 after 16 overs. First Alan Lester and then Calum Estall put a break on the scoring and wickets fell steadily and Beddington were all out for 154 off 36.4 overs, Lester finishing with a miserly 3 for 20 off 10.4 overs and Estall 2 for 16 off 6 overs. Banstead made short work of getting the runs with Dave Sowe and Seb Pearce putting on 67 for the first wicket off only 11 overs. Another couple of good stands saw Banstead cruise to victory by 7 wickets off only 20.5 overs, Mayank Vakharia (25 not out off 13 balls) finishing the match with a 6 over extra cover. Seb Pearce maintained his exceptional run of form by scoring a dominant 69 off only 50 balls.
