THERE are delays across the train network due to obstructions and signal failures, which will cause problems for anyone on the Gatwick Airport route.
Signal failures at Haywards Heath means trains running south from Gatwick to Brighton and Lewes are facing delays of up to ten minutes.
Trains north from Gatwick to London Victoria - including the Gatwick Express - are also being affected due to another signalling failure, this time at Battersea Park, causing delays of around 20 minutes.
An obstruction on the line between Sutton and Mitcham Junction is causing delays of around half an hour, meaning more passengers are taking the Epsom to Clapham Junction service.
On the roads, the M25 is already slow clockwise fro Leatherhead and there are also delays around junction 6 at Godstone.
Traffic is also building at the M23/A23 interchange.
