POLICE have issued new CCTV footage of a hit and run in Epsom as part of a fresh appeal for witnesses.
On Thursday May 15 at 3.15pm a 13-year-old girl was injured after being hit by a car in Tattenham Way, Tadworth.
The vehicle failed to stop following the incident and travelled down Great Tattenhams towards Epsom Downs Racecourse.
Now CCTV footage from a motorist who was travelling behind the offending vehicle which is hoped will bring forward more information.
Investigating officer, manager of the traffic processing unit Chris Broadley said: "We are hoping that the CCTV footage will jog the memories of people who were in the area on the day, or who may know the driver of the vehicle who we want to talk to about this incident.
"This was a distressing incident for the girl involved and her family and we would like to reassure them and the public we are doing what we can to track down the offender."
The vehicle is described as a black Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck which had silver or white sign writing on it. Its passenger wing mirror was knocked off during the incident.
