MERSTHAM look likely to miss out on a play-off spot after losing 3-2 at Folkestone Invicta today (Monday).
The Moatsiders led 2-1 at one stage, but conceded twice late on as Folkestone fought back to win the game late on.
Folkestone took the lead through Paul Booth in the first half, but goals from Tommy Hutchings and Simon Cooper turned the game on its head for the visitors.
At that point, a win would have put Merstham level on points with both Burgess Hill Town and Hastings United in the race for the final play-off spot, but goals from Frankie Chappell and Booth in the closing stages gave Folkestone victory.
As a result, Merstham are now three points behind Burgess Hill and Hastings with just one game to play, and an inferior goal difference to the Hillians, who currently sit fifth in the Ryman League Division One South.
