A party shop owner is "devastated" to be closing his Horley store.
The Party Pad is set to close this Saturday due to financial reasons (March 29).
Owner Andy Parr, who has been running the store since January 8 2011, said: "I am absolutely devastated, I have put so much into it."
Despite this disappointment, Mr Parr was keen to emphasise how much he had enjoyed running the High Street premises.
Mr Parr, 46, added: "It's been a fantastic place to be doing business, Horley.
"The highlight was being on Heart Radio when they phoned me up and tried to buy a horse off me as a wind up. I was just mucking around because I thought it was my friend. It was the funniest thing and people still come in the shop and say 'you're the guy from the radio'."
Mr Parr, who runs the shop with his wife Annette, is keen to emphasise that this is not the end of the Party Pad business.
He explained: "Right now we are going to continue, we are still trading from our website and are looking to see if it's going to be possible to open another shop in the future."
