FOUR more people have been sentenced as part of an operation to crush a drugs operation in East Surrey.
Three men have been jailed for drug dealing in the area, following a series of early-morning police raids, and a woman has been given a suspended sentence.
Melvin Mettle, 29, of Chequers Close, Horley, became the 11th person to be jailed as part of Operation Beet, when he was sentenced at Guildford Crown Court on February 27.
Mettle pleaded guilty to four charges relating to the supply of Class A drugs in East Surrey.
Then, on Monday, at Guildford Crown Court, Taalib Rowe, 19, of Lyon Park Avenue in Wembley, was sentenced to 21 months in prison after pleading guilty to six counts relating to the supply of Class A drugs and Tyrone Appiah-Gyan, 23, of Sherwood Avenue in Streatham, was sentenced to three years and three months in jail after pleading guilty to eight counts.
On the same date, Natalie Edwards, 21, of Barfields, in Bletchingley, was sentenced to 13 months imprisonment, which was suspended for 18 months.
She will undergo a drug rehabilitation order for nine months.
At 6am on January 30, more than 270 police officers raided 23 addresses to smash a huge drug ring which stretched from East Surrey into north London.
Since the raid, 23 people have been arrested, with 13 now jailed, one handed a suspended sentence, and nine others currently involved in court proceedings.
