Whyteleafe's ten-game winning run halted by 95th minute strike at Cray Valley PM

Southern Counties East League Cray Valley PM 2 Whyteleafe 2 TITLE-CHASING Whyteleafe were held to a draw by Cray Valley PM tonight [Wednesday] ending a run of ten straight wins for John Fowler's men. The draw extends Leafe's lead at the top of the Southern Counties East League to six points, although they still have a game in hand over second placed Tunbridge Wells. However, Ashford United are eight points behind with three games in hand. Cray Valley took the lead after 53 minutes against Leafe, with Steve Springett bundling home after a free-kick. However, Leafe's captain Jason Thompson equalised on 68 minutes, before putting the visitors ahead six minutes later. But the Church Road team could not hold on for all three points and conceded a 95th minute equaliser - Springett again.
