A man in his 50s suffered serious head injuries in a road accident this morning.
The incident happened in Chaldon Road, Caterham, at around 9.15am when the pedestrian was in collision with a blue Vauxhall Vectra.
The stretch of road was closed off for about an hour afterwards.
He was taken to St Georges Hospital in Tooting.
