A court case involving a 16-year-old boy charged with the murder of a 17-year-old girl in Oxted will continue later this month.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, first appeared at Redhill Magistrates' Court on Friday, January 31.
But this morning his case appeared at Guildford Crown Court for mention in a closed-door hearing in chambers.
It is expected to continue later this month.
Surrey Police was called to a home in Amy Road, Oxted at around 5.20pm on Friday, January 24 where they found the body of Elizabeth Rose Thomas, from West Wickham, a student at Oxted School.
A post mortem later confirmed she died from a stab wound.
Elizabeth's family has spoken of how her murder had broken their lives beyond repair.
In a heart-wrenching statement, they paid tribute to the A-level student, calling her a "kind, caring, loving and gentle girl."
