A 23-YEAR-OLD man sustained head injuries in a serious crash in Chipstead this morning.
Outwood Lane was closed both ways following the smash at around 5.30am today, in which a car crashed into a telegraph pole and brought down power cables. The road was closed between Holly Lane and Chipstead Way for a number of hours.
Police, ambulance and the air ambulance crew were called to the scene.
The injured man was taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting.
