CATERHAM and Whyteleafe are still on flood alert, despite drier weather over the past few days.
The Environment Agency warning, first applied last Wednesday, remains in force because of high water levels on the Caterham Bourne.
The warning also affects areas of Croydon, including Kenley and Purley.
The latest information from the Environment Agency, issued on Tuesday afternoon, reads: "High groundwater levels following the heavy rainfall in late December have resulted in flows in the Caterham Bourne in the stretch between the railway viaduct and Wapses Lodge Roundabout.
"The rate of groundwater level rise has slowed this week as we have had less rain than in previous weeks. Low-lying roads and properties further downstream will be susceptible to flooding, particularly if we experience further heavy rainfall which may cause water levels in the Caterham Bourne to rise.
"Rain is forecast throughout this week, and it may be heavy at times. We are working closely with our partners, and will continue to do so over the coming weeks.
"We will continue to monitor the water levels and update this message as the situation changes."
Tandridge Council has advised residents to be alert.
Council leader Gordon Keymer said: "We are doing everything we can to prepare for possible flooding and to make local residents and businesses aware.
"We would ask everyone to be vigilant, keep an eye on what's happening and take action as required."
