TWO drivers confronted each other on a busy dual carriageway during a road rage incident.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the clash on the A217 at lunchtime on Sunday.
Two drivers, one in a silver BMW and the other in a blue Vauxhall, were involved in the incident in the northbound carriageway at the Banstead crossroads at about 1pm.
Both got out of their cars and got into a row on the carriageway.
Investigating officer PC Daniel McLeod, said: "This incident occurred at a very busy time of day and I am certain other motorists will have witnessed either the offence itself or the events leading up to it.
"We need to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and I urge anyone with information to share this with us."
No-one was hurt during the incident.
A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and bailed until February 17.
