THERE are delays on the M23 southbound this morning as holidayakers try to get to Gatwick Airport without using the train.
Engineering work means there are no trains travelling between London and Gatwick in either direction.
There are long queues as motorists try to leave the motorway at junction 9 (Gatwick).
Travllers who cannot use the car are being advised to use the bus, but this can add to journey times.
There will be no train services between London and Gatwick until January 2 due to the engineering works.
