CRANLEIGH residents will be treated to the BBC Choir of the Year runner up, the Surrey Hills Chamber Choir, when they perform at the Christmas lights switch-on tomorrow (Friday).
Entertainment will begin at 4.30pm, hosted by Eagle Radio in Cranleigh's Fountain Square, by the big Christmas tree.
Horsham Rock Choir and the Surrey Hills Chamber Choir will be singing from 5.15pm to 6.30pm.
This year, the event was made possible by donations from Retirement Villages and Linden Homes, and the regular donations from the Cranleigh Chamber of Trade & Commerce 100 Club members.
The staging for the event was supplied by A.N.T Structures Ltd.
The spectacular Christmas lights will be switched on at 5.45pm and Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce member, Sarah Woodhead, feels the event is for all of the family.
She said: "The Cranleigh Christmas lights switch-on is a wonderful family event that brings the whole community together."
