KEEN students have "bean" busy raising money for charity.
The Year 8 students from Oxted School have been working in small groups to organise, publicise and raise money for good causes.
The first event took place on June 12 with a bean bath for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Students donated £1 to dunk a can of beans over 13-year-old Tessa Waldron.
She said: "I'm so happy to be taking part to raise money for children who are less fortunate.
"The thought of sitting in the bath of beans doesn't seem real."
On June 14, two other fundraising events took place.
Firstly, the "I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream" sale raised money of the British Heart Foundation.
Students also held a cake sale to support Helen & Douglas House Hospice in Oxford, which when it opened in 1982 was the world's first palliative care facility for children.
And there are still even more events to come. Students will be holding a sweetie sale on June 28 to raise money for Cancer Research, and four Year 8 students will be raising money for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital at the Oxted Carnival on July 6.
Students will also be holding a mini-salon stall at the carnival in Master Park, offering nail painting and henna tattoos for children.
Year 8s Anabel Robson, Poppy Jackson, Steph Boast and Izzy Boorman will be manning the stall.
Anabel said: "We chose this charity as we feel it does a lot for terminally ill children.
"One of our grandads worked as a nurse at Great Ormond Street and we think the hospital makes hospital stays more fun for the children."
