FAMILIES will move into 12 new affordable homes in Newdigate this month.
The development by Mole Valley Housing Association (MVHA) is just off Winfield Grove and the homes have been reserved for people with a connection to the village.
It comes as figures from the National Housing Federation showed house prices in Mole Valley have risen by 73 per cent over the last decade, despite wages increasing by only 11 per cent.
David Searle, MVHA managing director, said: "This new development provides just one example of how we are working hard to meet the demand for affordable places to live. Because the homes will always be reserved for people with a strong connection to Newdigate, it will allow residents to stay close to their families and jobs."
