AROUND 60 residents attended the borough's first crime summit on Saturday.
The event, held at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill, was hosted by Surrey's Police and Crime Commissioner, Kevin Hurley.
Mr Hurley, along with deputy commissioner Jeff Harris, Surrey County Councillor Kay Hammond, Reigate and Banstead Borough Councillor Julian Ellacott and Neighbourhood Police Commander Richard Haycock made short speeches before a question-and-answer session. They then broke off into smaller groups to discuss priorities for the borough.
Mr Hurley said: "The crime summits give us as a community the chance to have an honest conversation about where we are and work out together how we can be positive and get to where we want to be."
