REDHILL motorists are among the most likely to collide with a tree.
Only Tonbridge ranks higher in the ratio of such accidents, according to car insurance firm Admiral, which has analysed 1.3 million claims. Guildford also comes in the top three, perhaps unsurprising in the country's most-wooded county.
Admiral's acting managing director Dave Halliday said: "The most common type of accidents on the UK's roads are rear-end bumps but we wanted to see if there were any trends with the other types of accidents we see as well, and there were some interesting findings."
Drivers in Scotland are more likely to crash into a lamppost, and those in Liverpool and Manchester are most likely to have a crash at traffic lights. Rear-end collisions are most common to the north east of Greater London, while cars in inner London are most likely to be damaged while parked.
