THE next Holmwood Marketplace event will take place on Saturday, offering villagers and visitors a whole range of stalls to shop at.
The popular event, between 12.30 and 4pm, will now take place monthly at North Holmwood Village Hall.
Organiser Jacqueline Johnston Lines said: "The April event was only our second but the hall was packed with stalls selling crafts, food, jewellery, and plants alongside local businesses offering a range of services. We were able to donate £50 from the proceeds of the raffle to the Dorking Community Orchard.
"The Marketplace is proving to be a really good way for people who are just starting out with a business idea, perhaps with a hobby that has 'got out of control' as one of our stallholders described it.
"We want to give the stallholders as much support as we can, and at the same time provide a monthly meeting place for local people to sit down together and have a chat over afternoon tea.
"What's really good to see is the stallholders getting to know each other."
On Saturday, Belinda Crabbe, will be selling plants and preserves in aid of St Catherine's Hospice.
Her charity efforts will be boosted by the sale of raffle tickets offering the chance to win a hamper, which will be full of contributions from each of the stallholders.
Visitors will also be able to buy chocolates from Shere, cakes from North Holmwood, salad and young vegetable plants from a community garden at Pixham.
In addition, budding young anglers will have the chance to find out how to get started with the sport and there will be fishing tackle for sale from a local expert.
