Police seek information to attempted burglary in Earlswood

Police are appealing for information as they try to track down two men they believe attempted to burgle a property in Earlswood. Patrol officer were notified by members of the public who said they noticed the men forcing their way through the front door of a property in Earlsbrook Road on Tuesday, May 14 at about 3pm. The officers entered the propety but the alleged offenders had left by the back door. It is not believed they stole anything. Detective from the East Surrey Proactive Investigation Team are now seeking more information about the men. The first man is described as white, about 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build. He was seen wearing a blue fleece and blue "work" trousers and boots. The second man is also said to be white, about 6ft tall, with a medium build and blonde hair. He was also wearing a blue fleece and blue "work" trousers and boots. Investigating officer detective constable Anna Patterson, said: "A member of the public witnessed the offenders breaking into the property and I would like to praise their quick thinking in flagging down officers on patrol, it is likely that their actions prevented any items from being stolen. "They were also able to provide us with a detailed description of the offenders and I would ask anyone who has any information which may assist us with this investigation to contact us as we need to find those responsible."
