About 20 firefighters converged on Caterham to tackle a blaze which destroyed a scaffolding warehouse.
The fire broke out at about 11.50pm on Sunday on the industrial estate at Paddock Barn Farm, off the A22 Caterham Bypass.
Fire crews from Godstone, Oxted, Purley and Epsom tackled the scene and, because of the remoteness of the location, water tenders from Camberley, Leatherhead and Godstone were also drafted in.
The 20 metre by 40 metre warehouse was gutted in the blaze.
The incident is being treated as suspicious.
